From Ursula:::

We are going to sculpt sound and space through simple group actions. It’ll be fun—we will play inside of game structures that are designed to be negotiated (not executed flawlessly). These games involve real-time decisions about our relationships to space, each other, and the audience. We will explore, organize a performative structure, and take turns as audience members. And we’ll have time for a conversation to reflect on different approaches to navigation, participation, cooperation, and resistance.

If you plan on coming please RSVP below

Ages Teen and adult!

Space is limited. RSVP required.

Sliding Scale ($10-20)

BIO:

Ursula Eagly is a choreographer based in New York City since 2000. Her works are characterized by a “rabbit-hole logic” (New York Times), and her research considers the potential of porosity. Works have been commissioned throughout New York City, and her interest in different artistic contexts has drawn her to sustained projects in the Balkans, East Asia, and Mexico. She recently premiered a piece for psychosocial motor systems at Danspace Project, and her previous project, an iterative work performed in multiple mediums, is still available as a vinyl LP from The Chocolate Factory.
