From Liz:::

15 people to make 5 stages smaller than 1 square foot, all within a single art studio... this is the (first ever!) Anywhere Festival of Everywhere Stages, a miniature site-specific performance extravaganza! It’s just like Coachella or the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, except it’s in one small room, the performers are puppets, and we’ll make everything ourselves. During the workshop from 3-5pm, participants will work in small groups to choose locations around The Painted Cloud in which to build & decorate a tiny stage (maximum dimension one square foot!). They will then use found and provided materials to create a short puppet or object performance specifically for their stage. Along the way, we will discuss principles of object puppetry, toy theater, scenic design, and site-responsive performance. At 5pm, we’ll invite additional audience into the space to attend the festival of tiny performances, moving from stage to stage to witness 3-minute shows. RSVP for the whole workshop (space is limited!) or just show up for the Festival at 5!  Light refreshments will be provided. But be warned… once you know that everywhere can be a stage, the world will never be the same.

If you plan on coming please RSVP below

Ages Teen and adult!
