Join us Saturday November 9th for an inclusive and immersive experiment with analogue and digital video equipment!
Come get immersed in an abstract video wonderland! Artists Julian Bozeman and John Crowe will set up multiple pieces of analogue and digital video equipment throughout The Painted Cloud studio for all to use. Together we will create unpredictable abstract video. This is a unique opportunity for participants to get their hands on rare video equipment.
After a brief introduction from the artists, participants will have the opportunity to use an array of video equipment to create abstract video projections. Each piece of video equipment, ranging from cameras to mixers to colorizers and more, will feed into the final abstract product, which will be projected onto the wall. There will also be a performance station, where your simple and complex movements will be captured, transmitted, and transformed by the video equipment.

BIO:
Julian and John are artists that have collaborated on video and performance works for over 10 years. Throughout that time, they have amassed a bank of video gear and experimented with using the gear outside of its intended purpose. From making music videos to developing fully immersive video installations, their approach is to seek the beautiful abstractions made possible through constant and consistent experimentation with video.
