In 2011, all 375 students in K-5 at Mendenhall River Elementary School in Juneau Alaska collaborated to paint a series of fifty-six 2x2 ft wooden panels for permanent installation on their school's outside covered play area.

Classroom teachers participated in an arts integration workshop as a component of the residency project. 

The project was made possible with the support of the Alaska State Council on the Art.
